2011 Fall Fun Farm Tours

2011 Peach Picking Tours

Peach picking tours are available at the Belleville farm only, and are available on Thursdays and Fridays: July 21, 22, 28 & 29 and August 4, 5, 11 & 12; between 9am. and 2pm. Reservations are required. The cost is $6 per child, and includes a tractor ride to the orchard to pick a small bag of peaches.

Supervision

Eckert's requires a minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 5 children to better ensure the safety of our guests and the preservation of our orchards. Please share this handout with both your students and their parents to help us increase student safety and decrease waste in the orchard.

No Call No Show Fee

In respect of other tour groups and to maintain booking flexibility, there is a $25 fee for any tour group that misses their appointment without first contacting Eckert’s within 24 hours of their scehduled appointment.

Inclement Weather

If in question of the weather, the above fee will be waived for all cancellations, and Eckert’s will be happy to assist in rescheduling your tour.

Picnicking

Eckert’s have plenty of space for picnicking; however, you may want to bring blankets for additional seating.

Educational Materials

Eckert's recommends visiting the Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom website for additional educational resources, including the free and printer-friendly Apple Ag Mag and Pumpkin Ag Mag.

Making a Reservation

Eckert’s will begin taking reservations beginning in May. Please contact Eckert’s as early as possible for the best booking flexibility.
