Eckert’s Pies

Peach pie and homemade custard is a match made in heaven and one our family looks forward to every summer.

Although we do love cooking together, at the end of a long day, it is nice sit back, relax and enjoy a sweet slice of heaven that Eckert’s made with the same amount of love you would have put in. 
 
In addition to delicious peach pie, we also carry other varieties of fruit pie including apple, and strawberry rhubarb. You will also be able to find monster muffins, peaches ‘n cream cake and peach coffeecake to just name a few.



Peach Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Eckert Peaches, peeled and sliced into thin wedges. When using fresh peaches, a simple syrup is required. Dissolve ¼ cup sugar in ½ cup warm water.
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp or ½ stick of butter or margarine, melted
  • Calhoun Peach Cobbler Mix (can be found at Eckert’s Country Store & Eckert’s St. Louis Farm Market)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Melt butter in either and 8” or 9” square baking dish or iron skillet. Combine milk with cobbler mix; stir thoroughly to remove any lumps from batter. Pour batter over butter. Then pour peaches with syrup over batter. Distribute peaches evenly; avoid stirring. Note: Batter will rise above the peaches while baking to form a golden crust. Bake 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Serve warm.
