Homemade Toffee Dip
Today I was looking for a simple way to enjoy apples after school with my kids and I came across this recipe in my “apple file.” The original recipe called for toffee bits but we sell an amazing candy from Waterloo, IL called Zettie’s so I used that.

Toffee Dip and Apples
I made this dip in about 5 minutes and I have it in my frig for a quick dessert or after school treat. We enjoyed this dip tonight with Honeycrisp apples. If you choose a tart apple to dip, you may want to increase the brown sugar to 5 Tbs.

We still have a great supply of Honeycrisp and Gala Apples on the farm. Come on out to the orchard and taste how good they are for yourself!!

Eat well,
Angie
 Toffee Dip Recipe
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3 Tbs brown sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp Lochhead vanilla extract
1/2 cup Zettie’s Almond Butter Crunch, finely chopped
Apple slices ( I used Honeycrisp and Gala)
In a mixer, combine cream cheese, brown sugar, sour cream and vanilla. Mix until smooth (about 3 minutes in my Kitchen Aid mixer). Stir in Zettie’s bits. Serve immediately or refrigerate and serve later.
Recipe Notes: You can also use Heath bar pieces but I just LOVE Zetties Candies!! I processed them in my mini food processor before stirring into the dip. Lochhead Vanilla is another great St. Louis company.
