Why Pick Your Own Christmas Tree?
So why is picking trees so special? For one: the sweet, sweet smell! With all the candles and wax melts in the world, there's simply no way to recreate the fresh, festive smell of a fresh-cut tree! On top of that, artificial trees are generally made of non-renewable materials and may even bring fire hazards to your home. Real trees support your local economy and bring wholesome family fun. Cut your own Christmas tree with supplied saws and sleighs, and enjoy cheery, winter activities around the farm.
As one of the liveliest Christmas tree farms in the St. Louis metropolitan area, we're happy to welcome families from around the region to partake in one of our most popular winter traditions. We typically begin the cut-your-own-tree season in late November, usually on the day after Thanksgiving, but make sure to check back on this page to make sure that tree season is in full swing. How much does a real Christmas tree cost? At Eckert's, all of our pick-your-own trees are $65 and pre-cut trees vary in price based on size and variety. Stop by and find your perfect tree!
